Nishant Prasad is a Partner at Finsec Law Advisors, a leading financial sector law firm based in Mumbai. With extensive experience across law firms and in-house roles, Nishant has advised on a wide spectrum of matters spanning securities regulation (with a focus on debt markets), wealth management, lending, corporate governance, and financial regulation. Before joining Finsec Law Advisors, Nishant served as General Counsel for several fintech startups in Bengaluru, where he played a pivotal role in shaping regulatory and compliance frameworks for emerging financial technologies.
An alumnus of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad (B.A., LL.B. Hons.), Nishant has been widely recognised for his contributions to the legal industry. His accolades include being named among Forbes India’s Legal Powerlist 2022 as a Top In-House Counsel and Indian Business Law Journal’s “Rising Star” in Banking and Financial Services.
In addition to his professional practice, Nishant serves as a Director and Joint Secretary on the Board of the OBPP Association, where he represents the Association’s Working Group on policy and regulatory matters relating to Online Bond Platform Providers (OBPPs).
